The Fall Recreational Program

The Recreational program runs from September to November. Players are introduced to the game of soccer in a fun environment which helps them to develop personal skills, athleticism, team dynamics and good sportsmanship.

2018 fall Rec registration is open to players in birth years 2004- 2014 and will comprise U15-U5 age groups.

Picture Day is Saturday, September 15.   

Please note important info:

1. Everyone needs to be especially patient on Picture Day as delays and setbacks may arise.  Referees are also prepared for delays, understanding that we all need to be extra flexible and considerate on this busy day.  

2. The location is the lower Amphitheater field below the pool.

3. Extra picture packets will be available on site. Parents need to bring cash or check for payment.  

4. Game times for U5 & U6 have changed since last week's schedule posting.

Season Dates & Gear

Season Dates

  • 8/28 Coaches may call players and practices may begin this week.
  • 9/1 Please contact us if you have not yet heard from a coach.
  • 9/8 Opening Day
  • 9/15 Picture Day (1 hour before your game time, on lower Amphitheater field.)
  • 10/6 & 10/13 Fall Break - NO GAMES
  • 11/17 Final Games
  • 11/20 All Star Games & Excel Showcase


  • Shin guards are required.
  • Soccer cleats (NOT baseball or football) are recommended.
  • Game uniforms are provided by YSC. Under-layer of matching color may be worn under uniforms. The uniform should not be covered with another shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, etc., and nothing may be attached to the uniform. Shirts must be tucked into the shorts and socks must be pulled up over the shin guards.
  • Water should be brought to to all practices and games by each player.
  • Soccer balls are recommended for each player to bring to practice. (See chart below for size)
  • Wearing of metal jewelry, including pierced earrings, will not be allowed during practices or games.
  • Goalkeepers must wear a color to distinguish themselves from the field players. Keepers may wear long pants and gloves and must wear shin pads.
  • Gloves or knee pads are allowed at the permission of the referee.
  • Bandanas, sweat bands, hair ties, etc. may be worn when properly secured and do not pose a danger or distraction to others or give an advantage to the wearer.
Registration & Fees

2. Register the player and/or coach for the Rec program.


Birth certificates are required!

ALL players must submit a copy of player's certified birth certificate by August 1st to participate.

How to submit your player's birth certificate:

  1. Upload it to your Stack Sports member account.
  2. Email it to: registration@yavapaisoccer.com
  3. Mail it to: YSC Registrar. P.O. Box 26835. Prescott Valley, AZ 86312

Refunded registrations are subject to a processing fee holdback.


$80. Register before May 31 and save $15 off regular fee!

$85. Register between June 1- July 15 and save $10 off regular fee!

$95. Regular fee. Final registration deadline is August 1st.

Player fees provide:

Weekly practices for 10+ weeks

9 officiated games

1 uniform kit including jersey, shorts, socks

Financial Assistance

Yavapai Soccer Club offers financial assistance based on application date, need, available scholarship funds and other factors.

Yavapai Soccer reserves the right to determine the amount of financial assistance granted.

2018 Age Brackets

YSC will field teams in these age brackets in the 2018 season:  

U5 Co Ed :  players born in 2014

U6 Co Ed : players born in 2013

U8 Boys or U8 Girls: players born in 2011 & 2012

U10 Boys or U10 Girls: players born in 2009 & 2010

U12 Boys or U12 Girls: players born in 2007 & 2008

U15 Co Ed: players born in 2004, 2005, 2006


Spectator's Code of Conduct

Rec League Spectators Will:

Sit on the opposite side of the field as the team and coaching staff, at least 6 feet from the sideline to provide ample space for Assistant Referees. 

Provide positive vocal support and encouragement.

Refrain from coaching from the sidelines.

Not address or criticize the referees before, during or after a game.

Act in an orderly manner.
